I never got the concept of easing up near the end of a blowout. The fans paid to see good basketball. They don’t want to see teams not even trying to score near the end of the game. I bet there are playoff tiebreakers where point differential matters. And it’s kind of like “We beat you so bad we don’t even need to try anymore why don’t you just lick our balls”.
So I don’t have any problem with what Evan Turner did at the end of the game against the Lakers. If the Lakers didn’t want it to happen they could have played defense. Besides, did you see that dunk? It was sick. No apology necessary.
I would also like to extend my congratulations to Evan Turner for not only throwing down a serious slamwich, but for recording his first block this season! Good work!
