Did anybody else get triggered by the Raptor’s throwback jerseys? The last time I saw purple and pinstripes in the same place, I was dreaming that I was being chased by a T-Rex/Vince Carter hybrid through a dense jungle made out of basketball hoops. Seeing Amir Johnson hit three-pointers while wearing it made me have a panic attack.
What the Raptors really need to do is change their name. Dinosaurs were only cool in the immediate months following the release of Jurassic Park. They should be called the Snowmen. Snowmen are way better than Dinosaurs. Just think about Amir Johnson wearing an all-white jersey with a big orange triangle in the middle. Now that is what I call swag.
