Ray McCallum 20 Points Full Highlights (2/27/2015)

I am vindicated.

Once upon a time, I had the temerity to call Ray McCallum a “scrub”. This was last season, his rookie year, and he was playing poorly. He eventually had some decent games for the Kings that season, and under threat of unsubscriptions I recanted my proclamation. But as when Galileo denied his theories under punishment of death, I never truly stopped believing, in my heart of hearts.

And now the truth has come out again, as McCallum struggles to earn minutes on a Kings team who needs competency wherever they can find it. Would they not play him if he were not a scrub? I think, if he displayed any attributes that differentiated him from scrubbiness, that he would receive appropriate minutes from the Kings’ coaching staff. But such minutes are not bestowed to him, and the message is sadly clear:

Ray McCallum is a scrub.
