There will come a day, maybe tomorrow, maybe years from now, where I will see a boxscore indicating that Justise Winslow scored 15 points and I will say “Justise Winslow has to score a bit more than 15 points before I will considering compiling highlights of his made baskets”.
That day is definitely not today. And, barring very odd circumstances, it won’t be tomorrow. Probably not in the next month either. Winslow has picked up his scoring a bit this season, true. It would have been very concerning if he had dipped in that area. But this increase is coming at the expense of efficiency, and he isn’t yet approaching anything resembling a scoring-type player. His defense is great, yeah. I don’t care about that, I prefer my players to not be total liabilities on one side of the basketball.
Are Heat fans still crowing about what a draft steal he was? Just curious.
