Al-Farouq Aminu 16 Points Full Highlights (1/8/2017)

Al-Farouq Aminu suffers from “Jeremy Lamb Syndrome”: his droopy eyes always make him look like he’s sleepy and not giving 100% effort. He can be running at a full sprint down the court but his eyes will always be half-lidded like he’s getting ready to take a nap. He can dunk it with the power befitting an African monarch but he’ll land and look like he wants to just sit down somewhere and relax for a bit.

Aminu’s sleepy eyes combined with the unkempt, out of control pube patches he’s growing on his face make it seem like a very tall hobo somehow got hold of a clean, intact Blazers jersey and tricked Neil Olshey into giving him a contract. That last part isn’t even entirely false, as Aminu has not been playing up to his contract this season at all; normally sixteen points from the Chief would not be highlights, but he’s only scored in double figures four times this season and he’s currently chilling at a true shooting percentage of 43%. Out of the players who regularly receive minutes, only Michael Carter-Williams, Rajon Rondo, and Justise Winslow (RIP in peace) are worse.

Maybe this is the turning point. I bet Blazers fans are hoping it is.
