What is there to say about Will Barton? He’s such an average player. He doesn’t really have any outstanding characteristics now that he’s toned his game down a little bit, no longer resembling the crack-monster known as Corey Brewer as much. He’s having a decent year, but not as decent as last year.
Here’s something: if he keeps doing that travel-looking Eurostep that Giannis made famous, the league is gonna start calling it as the travel it probably is, and that’s gonna make make me mad. First it was Giannis, now Barton, then what? Probably Yogi Ferrell will start doing it to and the league will have no choice but to excise it from the list of acceptable moves. And then Giannis will have his effectiveness drastically reduced.
I mean, check out the first move in this vid. It looks good once you look at it for a while, but man. People didn’t use to do that, did they? You can talk to me all you want about “gather steps”, and maybe I’ll believe you, but any other league besides the NBA, down to the dinkiest church league, would call that a walk.
