I will, as long as George Hill is on the Kings roster, express bewilderment over why they signed him. I’ve analyzed this topic before, and I can’t gain any insight on it at all. It simply doesn’t make sense. The only explanation I can come up with is that the Kings’ FO deliberately sets out to make mistakes. That might actually make the most sense, because how else can you explain their inscrutable transactions and roster decisions?
Frank Mason is slowly emerging from being held down by Hill, thankfully. He’s played 20 or so minutes the last four games, scoring in double-digits in three of those. Tonight, on national TV, in front of a whole bunch of people who were only watching to see Lonzo Ball, he put up a cool 11 and 7 with the best plus-minus on the team. Doris Burke noticed how good he was doing, and now the whole world will as well.
