We are living in troubled times. The president of the United States freely hurls accusations at the media, saying that they lie. In response, the media says that the president lies. It is very possible, likely even, that they both are lying. These occurrences are symptoms of a problem that envelops all. A culture of misinformation and deceit has taken over not just the U.S., but the world as well. Wherever we turn, whoever we look to, we are faced with, if not outright lies, at least the deliberate withholding of information. Even our own minds are complicit in the deception. Who or what are we supposed to turn to? The government lies. The media lies. Our friends lie. Our families lie. Men lie. Women lie.
