Malcolm Brogdon hasn’t responded well to the acquisition and subsequent insertion into the starting lineup of Eric Bledsoe. Not talking about attitude here; if he’s pissed off, he’s expressing his pissedness behind closed doors. Nope, I’m talking about the most important thing of all: his stats.
It’s not like they’re even that bad, actually. He’s averaging more points than last year on about the same efficiency. But it just doesn’t FEEL as good as last year, you know? This is what’s called the “eye-test” and I’m not very good at it. The stats don’t say he’s much worse, but I feel like he is.
This is what people had to deal with before they invented stats back in the 70’s. And I don’t like it. What am I supposed to believe?
