Kyle Kuzma 31 Points Full Highlights (12/25/2017)

Maybe I just have a low tolerance for stupidity masquerading as insight, but this format of having the four Inside the NBA guys commentate an NBA game was one of the most unlistenable things I’ve ever had to sit through. Part of the reason is that having four people, especially four people who all think they have something important to see, is just way too many. Having three people do commentary is already known to be guaranteed failure unless the three have exceptionally good chemistry (shout out to the Mavs’ Jeff “Skin” Wade who only gets to say one sentence every eight possessions), so who thought four would be a good idea?

The other part of the reason is that people like Shaq and Barkley are just not made out of commentator material. They constantly demonstrate their own ignorance of the current NBA, but even if you coached them up real good to give them the requisite knowledge of the teams in front of them, their indefensible opinions on any number of topics would inevitably show up and ruin the illusion that they know what they’re talking about. That’s if they can even stay on the topic of the game in the first place, which seemed to only happen when Ernie would interject to tell us the score or describe the play that just occurred.

Commentary can, on occasion, make my highlight videos better, but in this case, it’s the opposite. Watching Kyle Kuzma score 31 should be a joy, but the commentary ruins this video. I would highly recommend muting the video’s volume and putting on some relaxing Christmas music instead.
