There are not enough white-dude fros in the league right now. There are also not enough black-dude fros, but Lauri Markkanen is not in a position to directly address that particular problem unless he starts some sort of social media campaign. Markkanen had a bit of a fro going over the offseason when he was playing in (whatever tournament that was that happened this summer), and then he cut it off in order to look like a huge dork for the beginning of his rookie season. It’s like when your mom made you get a haircut before the first day of school and it looked like garbage and you cried for the whole night dreading when you’d have to show your face and receive endless mockery? It’s like that, except self-inflicted.
It’s growing back a bit now, which is good, because he’ll have to have it nice and poofy for when he’s in the three-point shootout over All-Star weekend.
