All this excitement for the Kings’ two young bigmen, Bagley and Giles, and they come out in the first game of the season and do almost nothing. Meanwhile, Willie Cauley-Stein, who is hated by all Kings fans for reasons that are unknown to me (is it because he looks like an old Jewish grandma in the thumbnail?), scores 23 points, almost all of them right in the face of “DPOY” Rudy Gobert. Young players are great to get excited about, but WCS was a high pick as well and still isn’t even that old. It’s time to give him another shot, Kings fans.
This isn’t like all those other times with all those other busts you drafted. This dude isn’t a Thomas Robinson. This dude is good. He has SKILLS. Plural. More than one. 23 points dropped on Gobert is like 40 dropped on KAT. Imagine if this game had been against the Timberwolves. WCS would’ve had 40, maybe even more. He can defend. He can rebound. Passing? Sometimes! You already know all this, so why do you keep hating? Is it because you are a hater?
