I was looking at the available players for the Wizards during this game, and I was wondering who was going to be able to handle Boban Marjanovic once he got in the game. Ian Mahinmi is barely an NBA player at this point, so not him. Not Thomas Bryant either, because he’s barely played in the league. Dwight Howard is injured with a mysterious rump-related malady. Markieff Morris might be able to force a few turnovers due to their sheer spite he plays every possession with, but not really him either.
Basically, I’m saying that if Marjanovic got in the game right away he would’ve scored 40. That’s the case a lot of nights, but it was especially true tonight. He ended up with 13 and 9 in 11 minutes, and no one could check him. THe only reason he didn’t score more was because his teammates were shooting their own easy-to-make shots.
I’m sorry for teasing you guys by putting that three-point attempt in there like he was going to make it. I definitely thought it was going in while watching live, and I couldn’t help myself. That’s his first three taken in the NBA, and I wanted to immortalize the achievement (like it takes any skill to go out there and chuck a three, hell, I could do that no problem).
