Jerami Grant Career High 22 Points Full Highlights (12/19/2018)

22 points is Jerami Grant’s career high (if you hadn’t already figured that part out by reading the title of the video). He scored 22 points earlier this season as well, so the occasion doesn’t deserve as much celebration as it normally would, but I still allowed myself an extra Pop-Tart in Grant’s honor. It was pretty tasty. I think Grant would appreciate the gesture.

What he doesn’t appreciate, however, is how the Thunder commentators couldn’t even muster up the energy to acknowledge Grant’s accomplishment in the broadcast. Or, if they did, it was way after Grant scored his final two points with a slam dunk. They even had the audacity to give the “Player of the Game” award to some guy named Paul George who had 43 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists. How about you give it to the guy who scored a career-high 22 on 9-of-11 shooting and got one assist and two rebounds?

These small instances of disrespect are what drive players to request trades. Not saying that Grant should request a trade when he’s got a fairly cushy position in Oklahoma City, starting games and catching lobs. I’m just saying, put some respeck on his name.
