Trae Young 32 Points/11 Assists/1 Game-Winner Full Highlights (3/23/2019)

Lately, I’ve been lamenting the fact that so much of my precious highlight-making time is spent making overly long Trae Young highlight videos. I have privately and publicly wished for him to get benched as the end of the season draws near for “rest”, simply so I am not burdened by his presence on my channel anymore.

All those sentiments are OFFICALLY being retracted. Temporarily, at least. For this one game, I don’t resent the fact that I have to make a four-minute long highlight video, because this one contains the most coveted feat in all of highlightdom: the game-winner.

As game-winners go, it could have been purer. The clock could have expired as Young’s shot went up, leaving the Sixers with no choice but to sulk back to their team bus in defeat. However, Young left 0.1 seconds on the clock, enough time for the Sixers to try a desperation lob to Boban Marjanovic (who is, to be fair, the guy most likely to tip a lob into the basket while surrounded by a crowd of defenders). The lob failed, the Hawks won, the game-winner was preserved, but it could have been better. On the game-winner quality scale, it gets a 7/10 (10/10 is for game-winning half-court shots with no time left ala Tyreke Evans, 9/10 is for game-winning threes with no time left while down two, 8/10 is for any other game-winning shot after which the clock reads 0.0).

Despite the not-quite-game-winner nature of the game-winner, I was not annoyed to have to do this video. So Young should keep that in mind: if he doesn’t want to annoy me and wants to keep receiving highlight videos from me for the rest of the season, he should focus on planning things out so that he can make game-winners every game.
