John Collins 25 Points Full Highlights (4/3/2019)

By my calculations, which are wholly accurate as well as mostly mathetmatical, John Collins will need to average 31 points per game over these last three (only three????? where did the season go….) Hawks games to average 20 points on the season.

Normally when people say so-and-so needs to average such-and-such amount of whatevers to average/total diddly-do for the season, it ends up being a ridiculously unattainable number. Like, no way is James Harden going to average whatever amount of threes he needs to catch Stephen Curry’s all time season mark. But 31 points? Per game? For John Collins? That’s easy. “2 ez” as the people on Rocket League would say to me before I threw my controller into my monitor (literally into, as in the controller was sticking out of it, what can I say, I get angry at video games, not my fault my teammates couldn’t hit the ball to save their god-damn lives).

So yeah, I think he can do it. Not like the Hawks have anything else to do with their time than chase arbitrary statistical goals. As I said in my Trae Young video from this game, the pick-and-roll with him and Collins looks nigh unstoppable. I was thinking maybe that unstoppability could be used to have Young score 50, but maybe some possessions can be diverted for enough lobs to get Collins his 20ppg season average. It’s not like there aren’t enough possessions to go around. If Kevin Huerter wants the ball, tell him to go stand in the corner like a good rookie. It’s the Young and Collins show now.
