Dirk Nowitzki 20 Points/1 Final Game Full Highlights (4/10/2019)

I already used up all of the sentimentality I feel towards Dirk’s departure from the NBA in the previous video description I wrote for him. You can read the story here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDwLsk-712A (I promise it’s not a Rickroll, I would not taint such a solemn occasion with such juvenile foolishness).

I don’t have many words for this one. I’m literally sitting here feeling a bit stunned that it’s really over. I just watched it end. We just watched it end. I don’t know about you, but this is the most emotional I’ve felt about basketball in a while. It’s not exactly joy, and it’s not exactly sadness. It’s just emotions, I guess. Writing about my feelings is hard. I should have written a funny story where he meets up with Tim Duncan in the afterlife and they compare rings or something.

Thanks for all the fun times, Dirk. You showed a whole generation of bigs that they could shoot threes just like wings. Some of them sucked at it, but some were good too. I’m going to remember the good ones. You also brought a championship ring to Dallas at the height of the LeBron-led Heatles. I remember those games like they were yesterday, and to this day your performance in the Finals is one that I relive every once in a while through highlights on YouTube. One day I’ll reupload those fadeaway-ilations that I made for you. I watch those whenever I’m in a bad mood and they cheer me right up.

So long, Dirk. Farewell. Goodbye. Keep in touch.
