George Hill 16 Points Full Highlights (5/8/2019)

I wasn’t able to watch this game live (DTB’s internetip of the day: do not ever have any obligations in real life if you can help it), but it’s plain to me just from looking at the boxscore that George Hill continued his pattern of dominating the Celtics. He dominated them in such dominating fashion that the league has officially decided that the Bucks won’t play the Celtics anymore this season. That should come as a relief to Celtics fans who have grown weary of Hill’s domination of Kyrie.

When the Bucks initially traded John Henson and Matthew Dellavedova to the Cavs for Hill, my reaction was a solid “meh”. For me, the best part of the trade was getting out from underneath the Henson and Delly contracts. I wasn’t sure how much of a role Hill would have given that the Bucks already had Brogdon locking down the “steady backup combo guard” role. But in this series against the Celtics, Hill’s true value has shown through, and that value is so valuable that I feel somewhat compelled to apologize to him for not being properly hyped at the time of the trade. So that’s what I’m going to do now.

OFFICIAL DTB APOLOGY: I apologize to George Hill for not being duly excited when he came to the Bucks.

The Bucks’ opponent in the ECF Conference Finals is yet to be determined, but whoever it is, I’m sure their backup point guard is crying tears of pure liquid fear right now at the thought of having to match up against the unstoppable juggernaut known as George Hill.
