Ersan Ilyasova 17 Points/3 Charges Taken Full Highlights (5/17/2019)

What is there even to say about Ersan Ilyasova. I’m not usually one to run short on words, but I can’t think of anything to put here. And that’s fine: this is the kind of video that needs no accompaniment. Let Ersan do the talking.

Fine, I’ll try and put some stuff here.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was his usual MVP self in this game, which was great, but expected. Thus, I’d consider Ilyasova to be the real hero. “The real MVP” as Kevin Durant would say. This game was over in the second quarter because of his 15 points. He was scoring in all the ways: three pointers, Dirk-esque fadeaways to the delight of everyone in attendance, tip-ins, floaty layup things, he even got a backcourt steal for an immediate layup.

And that’s not even mentioning what he did on defense, which is what he usually does: take charges. He led the league in charges drawn this season by a wide margin, and that was in limited minutes. On a per-minute basis, his lead in that category gets even more ridiculous. He added three more to his total tonight, and I’m thinking that if there’s an easy way to do it (there might not be, I’m not watching every game again scouring for charges), I might do an Ilyasova charge-ilation. Would that not be the sickest thing ever? Thanks to whatever dude on Twitter who suggested it to me. You can still donate to my Patreon if you want.

On the back of Ilyasova’s REAL MVP performance, the Bucks are now only two wins away from the Finals. Isn’t that just the craziest thing ever? Speaking of which, are any other Bucks fans out there afraid to go to sleep in case when you wake up it turns out to all be a dream? I’ve been awake for three days straight now simply because I don’t want this to end. The hallucinations are very mild at this point, so I think I can make it to the Finals if I just stay strong. Sleep is for the week and those secure in their perception of reality. I have no use for it.
