Langston Galloway 18 Points Full Highlights (11/11/2019)

Langston Galloway is one of the few things that has gone right for the Knicks in the last decade. Finding a double-digit scorer outside of the draft is something that a lot of teams wish they could do, and the Knicks went out and did it. Accordingly, their fanbase simply would not shut up about him, crowing loudly about how good their player development and scouting and stuff was. Can’t blame them, either. If my team was winning 17 games in a season, I’d find any faint spot of hope and cling to it until they decided it wasn’t worth re-signing.

Pistons fans aren’t quite as pleased with Galloway, probably because he has real money associated with him now instead of the sub-million that he was getting paid during his years with the Knicks. 7 million per year for a guy like Galloway isn’t even that bad in this era of comically overinflated contracts, but when you have a shooter who can’t shoot all that well and doesn’t do anything else to offset that, people get frustrated.

He’s been good recently, though. Forget about last year, or the year before that. Right now, he’s on a streak of 7 straight double-digit scoring games, in limited bench minutes. Pistons fans will have to temporarily find another player towards whom to direct their ire; I’m thinking Thon Maker. I’m always thinking Thon Maker.
