Monte Morris 18 Points Full Highlights (12/31/2019)

Monte Morris has to be one of the most anonymous players in the league. He has a sick assist-to-turnover ratio, just like he had in college, but that’s the only thing going for him. “Monte Morris”. Just a generic NBA-type name for a generic NBA-type player. It’s very believable that a player by that name plays in the NBA, but it’s almost just as believable that that is a made up 2k name.

If you asked the average fan to name a point guard on the Nuggets roster, I bet a good portion wouldn’t be able to do it without cheating by naming someone like Jamal Murray (who is a shooting guard now and forever) or Nikola Jokic (seven-footers can’t be guards unless their name is Ivan Chiriaev). Morris is the only true answer to that question, but Denver does so much without a true PG that he doesn’t make much of an impact on the minds of the NBA public.

Such is his anonymity that my career-high scoring vid for him that I made (but actually almost forgot to make it, that’s not a good sign if even I can’t notice him getting career highs) is currently sitting at a cool 761 views. And it’s not like anyone else uploaded that performance and is taking my views. That’s the only depiction of the occurrence on YouTube, the defining scoring performance of his career, and I think half of those views are me, checking to see how many views it has.

Not that I’m complaining about the anonymity of Morris. I will remain forever waving his banner unwaveringly. Don’t ever think I won’t.
