Nihil. Zilch. Zero. A seemingly simple concept with limitless depth, containing interesting philosophical quandaries. What is the nature of nothingness? Is nothing something? If there are zero of something, how can we say that those things exist at all? Are there different flavors of zero? Why was its status as a number developed so late in human history?
I don’t know the answers to these questions.
All I know is that it is the number of dunks that Gerald Green had on Sunday night against the Thunder. I, for one, am sorely disappointed. I want windmill alley-oops! I want blown out candles!
Instead all I got were a bunch of crappy threes. I’m entitled to more, Gerald. We all are.
