Now that Alec Burks and Trey Burke are on the same team, we obviously need to come up with a nickname for this tandem. However, since they aren’t yet known for any particular skill (dunking, shooting threes, blocking shots), the only thing we have to go by is their similar names. Here is my list so far:
B-and-B: I stole this one from the Jazz commentators (I hate you Matt Harpring). It’s sort of okay, but bed-and-breakfasts are the least aggressive type of accommodation.
B Brothers: Works, but it piggybacks off the success of the “splash brothers” nickname. Also could be misconstrued as “butt brothers”.
Burknanza: A juvenile play on words that is cool in a campy sort of way.
Burksplosion: See above.
Catch the Burke Train to Burkstown: I would vote for this one, but it is too long to say during a game.
Excaliburke: Really? Really?
