What’s wrong with Ersan Ilyasova? He can’t shoot. He can’t rebound. Those are both things he was able to do at a high level previously. So what the heck is going on?
In spite of the Bucks’ offensive woes, Ilyasova is still getting a decent amount of open jumpers. But he’s started doing a little mini fadeaway on even open shots, something that he did earlier in his career but managed to fix. It doesn’t work for Dion Waiters, and it doesn’t work for Ersan Ilyasova.
And ever since Sanders has emerged Ilyasova hasn’t been getting the easy looks at the basket that he used to. Also every point on the Bucks’ roster is incapable of finding cutters or hitting people on pick-and-rolls. I hate Brandon Knight.
I thought he might have turned the corner against Toronto, but he soon followed that up with a 6-of-22 (what) night. His point total in this game is inflated by all the dumb fouls the Suns were committing. Still, he hit some threes, which is good to see. I don’t want to have to change my avatar to Henson with sunglasses. I really don’t
