Tim Hardaway Jr. Career High 29 Points/6 Threes Full Highlights (1/30/2014)

Give me one good reason why Tim Hardaway Jr. shouldn’t be rookie of the year. The reason cannot deal with his lack of rebounding ability, his garbage-time heroics, his absence of playmaking responsibility, or his lack of minutes. It’s okay, I can wait.

I thought so. MCW, after his hot start, has been pretty iffy lately. Oladipo? Maybe if they changed the award to “turnover maniac of the year”. What about Giannis? Yeah, no. Hardaway hasn’t played as many minutes as those other guys, but he has excelled in his role more than any other rookie other than maybe Steven Adams.

This 29 point explosion just shows how good he can be. He won’t win rookie of the year, and I guess if we’re being honest he probably shouldn’t. But even the most homeristic Knicks fans couldn’t have expected this. I never thought I’d see the day where a fanbase underrated their rookie.
