The Bucks did it. They managed to make it all the way past the trade deadline without trading any of their best players for crappy rentals. Don’t try to tell me that losing Gary Neal and Luke Ridnour is in any way a bad thing. They weren’t good fits for the Bucks. Jeff Adrien, on the other hand, perfectly fills the Bucks need of someone who can’t really do anything.
Does this mean more minutes for the Nater tot casserole? Probably not. Ramon Sessions is a guy who probably deserves more minutes than Luke and Gary combined. Those two dudes were already barely playing. Wolters can expect to continue starting, but maybe not get as many minutes at point.
He’s already way exceeded my expectations for him. The only thing he needs to do now is dunk in game. There is scant pictorial evidence of him throwing down, but I bet he makes it a point not to so he can further his carefully-fabricated image of “not athletic white dude”. Nothing says sponsorship money like only being able to jump 6 inches off the ground.
