Kent Bazemore Career High 23 Points/4 Threes Full Highlights (3/4/2014)

Is Bazemore this year’s Tobias Harris? Contending team (Warriors) trades him and another so-called “scrub” (MarShon Brooks) to a tanking team in exchange for a washed-up veteran who is supposed to help them in the playoffs (Steve Blake). Then the traded player gets to his new team and starts going nuts, displaying scoring ability that the previous team never thought he possessed.

Replace the above scenario with the Bucks, the Magic, Tobias Harris, Doron Lamb (although he sucks), and J.J. Redick, and it’s almost the same situation. It’s funny how some teams are susceptible to the allure of overrated veterans.

So now we are all in agreement that the Warriors got totally hosed on that trade. They had a player better than the one they traded for and they didn’t even realize it. And now Bazemore gets to drive the big, shiny Los Angeles tank, getting in some much-needed development that he wasn’t getting in Golden State. It’s like the Warriors are purposely wasting Stephen Curry’s prime years.
