One game he looks like a god. The next he looks like a scrub who can’t do anything. Such is the life of Klay Thompson.
It’s not his fault that he’s pretty much a pure shooter with a dash of defense added in. Shooters get hot. Shooter go cold. That’s what they do, and that’s what Klay does. He was pretty cold for most of tonight, until the fourth quarter where, as the best player on the floor, he got to shoot all the crap he wanted and somehow made most of it.
Top that off with a game winner with less than a second left and Warriors fans are probably thinking championship right now. Just don’t tell them that Mark Jackson’s system of “let everyone just run around and jack any shot they want” is fatally flawed in the playoffs when the defensive intensity goes way up. That would only upset them.
