There are a lot of people out there (including me) who think Mark Jackson is a bad coach. He might still be. But we have to give credit where credit is due: his insertion of Draymond Green, AKA “Mr. 33% From the Field”, into the starting lineup was a good decision. The Blake Griffin-Draymond Green matchup was a classic example of “Superstar vs. Determined and Motivated Scrub”. It was vastly more entertaining than the “Superstar vs. Guy Who Doesn’t Even Pretend to Care About Defense” matchup that David Lee provided us.
For once in his life, Draymond was actually hot from three-point range, and he was actually able to punish the defenders who sagged off him. Sadly, his efforts were for naught; starting today, the Warriors begin a long offseason of eating Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies and watching bad daytime television.
