The Kings being this good disrupts my perception of the world. For the past decade they have sucked relentlessly, and my world became a world where the Kings could never be good. The purple guys from Sacramento could be relied upon to accumulate a collection of disparate talents and try to win, then fail and go back to the draft to try again.
Has the endlessly-traveled circle of suck finally been broken? Can Ben McLemore not be a bust like the average Sacramento draft choice, thus elevating the team out of the lottery and into the splendor of the playoffs?
No. The West is too stacked, and the Kings won’t make the playoffs unless they get 50 wins. They’re good, but they’re not that good. The circle of suck continues unbroken.
