Gerald Green received a lot of flak for that 2-of-15 from downtown performance he had a few games back. I don’t see what the big deal is. Gerald is a great three point shooter. He doesn’t need to be open, and his whole game is based on just chucking the orange up there. Why would he stop? They’re bound to go in eventually, and one of the ones he hit happened to be really clutch. Telling him to stop shooting treys is like telling the US government to stop killing Middle-Easterners.
This highlight package contains a rarity amongst all the threes: an in-game dunk! Green hasn’t been destroying the rim as much as I, and the NBA, would like. His dunks alone probably gain the NBA a couple million dollars in revenue, and no one should hesitate to call him the best dunker in the game. It’s hard, as a non-big, to dunk regularly, I understand. Knowing that fact does not stop me from selfishly wanting an endless parade of windmill jams.
