Every time I see Anthony Tolliver attempt a layup, he flails through the air like a maniac and looks like he’s going to tumble over. It’s like he doesn’t have the balance necessary to keep himself in control when he’s going that fast. It’s even weirder because he doesn’t elevate at all, but in the few seconds he’s airborne, he manages to get his body tilted at really violent angles.
We almost got to see a Tollidunk this game, but JaKarr Sampson, like the nobody he is, had to go and ruin it all. Just once in my life, I want to see what happens when an uncoordinated bumbler like Tolliver go up high for a slam. There are two possible outcomes: nasty arms-everywhere dunk in the Hakim Warrick tradition, or career-ending injury. It’s like Russian Roulette.
