I’m of the opinion that Enes Kanter could have a Greg Monroe-esque impact on offense if he was given an equivalent amount of touches. He also has a Greg Monroe-esque impact on defense by being slow-footed and not very good at team defense. So, however much Greg Monroe is going to get paid, that’s how much Enes should get, minus a little because Enes actually hasn’t been featured in an offense yet, minus even more because Greg Monroe is going to get overpaid by some team that overvalues the scoring he brings.
Does 8 mil per year sound right? Yeah, that’s fair. And who’s going to give it to him? Not the Jazz, who have some French dude who is already the best paint protector in the league. The Heat have been lean at center since Shaq departed. The Celtics could use an upgrade. The Bucks would like somebody with soft hands at that position.
Or he could come stay with me for the low cost of half my rent, and we could play video games all day. That would be pretty chill.
