Looking back on it, I actually sorta liked Enes Kanter shooting threes. It was like Mehmet Okur unretired after putting on some weight. They weren’t the most devestating offensive weapon in history, but it was fun. That’s what basketball is supposed to be about, right? Fun? Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
The fun is over now in OKC. No more threes for the Kanterman. His role has changed significantly; he’s become more of an “opportunistic” scorer. Actually, that descriptor applies to everyone on the Thunder, now that Russell Westbrook has decided that triple-doubles are the number one priority.
Still, winning is pretty fun too.
