It’s comforting to know that, as much as things change in the NBA, some things will always stay the same. That there are certain immutable facts of the NBA that will never falter in their trueness.
Like the Jazz commentators using the word “confidence” whenever Derrick Favors hits a jumper.
They were doing it two years ago, they were doing it last year, and now they’re at it again. At what point is Derrick Favors’ confidence in his shot just a forgone conclusion, rather than something that needs to be built up by hitting shots? If you asked the Jazz TV team, the answer would be: never. It’s like they want him to be forever stuck in his rookie year, when he wasn’t confident in his ability to score outside the paint.
I’m already sick of hearing these bozos talk and it’s only the first game of the season. Somebody please deliver me from this evil.
