I don’t even know why the Raptors bothered to pick Cory Joseph up. Well, I do (here’s a hint: starts with a “C”, end with an “anadian”), but when the Spurs fail to retain somebody, you know that there’s something really wrong with him. If he isn’t wanted by the best organization in the league, why should he be wanted by anyone else?
Cory, admittedly, did have a few good games with the Spurs, and no one really noticed, because it was the spurs. The Raptors, though, don’t apparently care about “being especially good at basketball” when signing players, preferring to use arbitrary racial and national distinctions when making their personnel moves.
This is 2015. I thought we moved past this.
