How much do we think Norris Cole is going to get fined for his showboating tonight? $10,000? $25,000? His whole year’s salary? I don’t know, but whatever the eventual punishment meted out by the league office ends up being, it won’t ever repair the damage that he did to the league.
How could Norris even think that attempting an off-the-glass alley-oop was in any way acceptable? It’s sickening. He had an easy layup, and he goes and hotdogs it. Disgusting. Anthony Davis is complicit in this sickening display. Any sane NBA player would have seen what Norris had done, grabbed the ball from the air, walked over to the baseline, and deposited the ball out of bounds so that the opposing team would receive possession. But no. He joined Norris in the hotdogging, and shamelessly dunked it after it careened off the backboard.
I am sick to my stomach. I think I’m going to throw up.
