How’s this for a fairytale-like story: a young basketball player who idolized his hometown NBA team from an early age eventually makes his way to the NBA, then, after a few seasons, gets traded to the very team he religiously followed during his developmental years, then helps that team to the playoffs, and makes a big buzzer-beating three-pointer to help defeat the evil LeBrick Blames and his Leavelame Cavaqueers.
Damn. In case you didn’t notice, we’re talking about Cory Joseph here.
That’s like the plot of a movie right there. A DAMN GOOD movie. All you need to make the next summer blockbuster is add a hot love interest and maybe a comically incompetent white sidekick. That’s it. It writes itself. I guess if you REALLY want to sell tickets, make M. Night Shyamalan the director. I don’t even know what kind of twist ending he would come up with, but it would be AWESOME.
Someone get on this. It’s like free money.
