Collin Sexton 24 Points Full Highlights (2/13/2019)

Everyone knows by know how much advanced stats hate Collin Sexton. If advanced stats were a person and not ironclad facts of a mathematical nature, it would fair to call them a “hater”. Any look at basketball-reference or ESPN or one of those esoteric NBA stats blogs where they actually have degrees in statistics and stuff (nerds) will show what they claim to be the truth: that Sexton is a seriously negative player.

But what people may not know is that regular stats like him. He’s averaging 15 points per game, and points per game is the most vanilla stat there is. Let’s repeat that: he’s a rookie who, when he plays in an NBA game, will on average give you 15 points. That’s good, right? I would take a lot of bad on-off stats and horrible true shooting percentages for 15 points from a rookie every god-damn night.

So there. That’s what I have to say about that. Give him another offseason of seasoning, and we’re gonna be seeing some sweet stuff next year, just like the sweet stuff we’re seeing this year except lacking a few of the bricks.
