Otto Porter 20 Points/3 Blocks Full Highlights (2/27/2019)

A very aesthetically pleasing (that’s all you kids care about these days, right? aesthetics?) statline for Otto Porter: 20/6/3/3/3/3/3/3/3. Those last two 3s are turnovers and fouls. The two 3s before that are threes made and free-throws made. Maybe a purist wouldn’t consider those part of a statline, but purists can suck it. They’re the ones who think that three-pointers shouldn’t even exist.

Porter has been good in every game for the Bulls except for the one where he got injured and had to settle for 0 points in 14 minutes. Other than that, it’s like someone breathed new life into him. He’s always been a super high-end role-player for the Wizards, but now maybe it seems like he’s taking a little extra step into not just being a role-player. What’s the next step after that, anyway? Is there an official designation for a dude who’s really good but isn’t an All-Star? “Starter” doesn’t cut it.

Sidenote: I don’t even know who Lionel Ritchie is so I can’t say if he looks like Porter or not. All I know is that I like Stacey King crooning “all night long” when Porter does something especially nice.
