Jarrett Allen 22 Points/21 Rebounds Full Highlights (11/25/2019)

Attention Nets: please just get rid of DeAndre Jordan. I don’t care if Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant hand-picked him to be their center, I don’t care if the whole reason they signed in the first place was because they’d get to play with him, I didn’t see any of them on the court tonight, just ship him off to the Magic for Khem Birch or something. Birch might be better at this point, anyway. Not even exaggerating. Okay, maybe a little bit. But not really.

Jarrett Allen is about 500 times more fun than Jordan, if not more. Jordan is more depressing than anything, just a shadow of his former self. The only shadow Allen has is the big one that his fro casts on terrified opposing centers. That’s part of the fun right there, his big thing of hair, but that’s just the superficial fun. The real fun is when he steps on the court.

20-20 games are rarer than triple-doubles these days, and Jarrett Allen just got one like it was no big deal. 22 points, no problem, it’s easy to score that much when you can just reach over/around everybody and finish shots at the rim. 21 rebounds, again, no problem when working against the impotent Cavalier “bigs”. Note that I put “bigs” in quotes because you could more accurately call them “smalls” when compared with Allen’s potent and virile basketball abilities. I lost track of how many times he snatched the ball off the glass and immediately went to score it. The boxscore says 9 offensive rebounds, which doesn’t surprise me at all.

Unrelated, but I’m kinda digging the chemistry between Nets commentators Ian Eagle and Richard Jefferson. That’s why this video is so long; I couldn’t just stop the audio clip right in the middle of their banter.
