At the beginning of The Bubb I was so hyped for the return of basketball that I didn’t even care if scrubs were abusing their scrub status to wring highlight videos out of me. But now my patience is wearing thin and I’m just going to put this out there: I am totally done with Jerome Robinson. Any small amount of excitement I had for him has been trampled under the ceaseless march of unending mediocre highlight videos.
This is Bradley Beal’s fault, when it comes down to it. If Beal was in The Bubb, Robinson wouldn’t be getting minutes, or he was getting minutes, it wouldn’t be nearly enough minutes with which to generate a highlight-worthy performance. But Beal is chilling out at home eating ice cream sandwiches (probably) and Robinson is getting way more minutes than he knows what to do with.
Except he does know what to do with them: score some wimpy amount of points in the mid teens and maybe dish out some assists just to make my life even more of a waking hell than it already is. I’m going to be so happy when the ‘Zards are banished from the bubble and Robinson is banished with them. If I was allowed, I would go to the bubble myself and wave at them as their bus drove them away to the airport, but I’m not allowed. Adam Silver says that highlight makers aren’t essential personnel unless they have over 100,000 subscribers. What a stupid rule.
