When I ignored Dillon Brooks’ recent nineteen-point performance, which was actually so recent as to have occurred last night, I had the feeling that I wouldn’t regret it too much. However, there was a part of me that felt like I was letting down the Grizzlies fans out there who wanted to see Brooks’ 6-of-17, four-turnover outing get immortalized in highlight video format. Certainly there were a few Grizzlies fans who judged me harshly for my reluctance to make the video. However, I had to no idea that vindication would come so swiftly and so definitely.
That’s right. With Brooks’ 27-point performance tonight, I am OFFICIALLY VINDICATED. Vindication is mine. Heap the vindication upon me. Get out your vindication shovels and start shoveling those sweet, sweet piles of vindication upon me to bury me in my vindication grave.
Brooks is simply too much of a scorer for mediocre scoring outputs to qualify for videos on my channel. That’s my OFFICIAL DETERMINATION as of RIGHT NOW. He has shown a scorer’s mentality that is nearly unmatched on his team, and there aren’t many players in the league right now who are as eager to pop from the midrange as Brooks is. Kobe comparisons would be premature at this stage, but Brooks is definitely Kobe 0.5 in the same way that the other Brooks, MarShon, was Kobe 0.4.
Now that my vindication grave has been filled to the top with vindication, thus trapping my still-alive body in a very deadly situation indeed, can somebody come let me out?
