Looking back on it, with the benefit of the perfect and clear vision of hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have made this video. 7 assists is right in line with Fred VanVleet’s season average, and 20 points is only slightly higher than his PPG per game average of 18.
DownToBuck doesn’t deal in mediocre performances. If I did, there’d be 50 videos a night for you losers to watch and I’d be spending my whole day at this. The word mediocre has slight negative connotations, but that’s exactly what this performance was. Just okay. Pretty good, but not really notable or exciting in any way.
There is nothing stopping me from deleting this video and pretending that it never happened, other than that I did spend time on it and I would rather that that time not be wasted for literally no benefit. And, I mean, there are probably at least a few Raptors fans (or Rockfordians) out there who missed this game and would appreciate seeing what VanVleet did. So I think I’ll keep it up.
You can’t stop me from half-assing this description, though. I refuse to spend any more time on this.
