All these highlights of Dante Exum are the same: him making a few threes with a couple meager assists sprinkled in. Does this guy ever shoot free throws? Does he ever drive to the basket? I see some flashes of good court vision, but does he ever get more than 4 or 5 assists?
Trey Burke is in the doghouse, dressed up like a Pinscher for the amusement of coach Snyder. Now is the time for Dante Exum to seize the reigns of opportunity and direct the carriage of stardom to its destination.
That means being aggressive. No one will really care if he makes tons of mistakes; he’s still pretty raw. But he needs to at least try, instead of floating around and not making much of an impact. He has a good first step, right? Supposedly. How do we really know if we never get to see it?
