Evan Fournier Career High 27 Points/5 Assists Full Highlights (2/23/2014)

Evan Fournier got out of his car and walked towards the row of townhouses. The house number he sought was right there, so he went up to the door and rung the doorbell. After waiting patiently for three seconds, he rung it again.

Finally, the door opened, and Jan Vesely appeared in the doorframe. “Evan? Why you come visit me?”

“In the interest of improving our countries’ relations, I extend to you a gift so that there may be goodwill between us.” Evan pulled out the object that he had been hiding behind his back and handed it to his new teammate.

“Thanks Evan. It, uh, it a nice present,” Jan said, holding the gift basket containing wine, cheese, baguettes, and a replica of the Eiffel tower at arms’ length. “In new city, I just eat McDonald for every meal, this improvement I guess.”

Evan, pleased with the positive reception of his gift, smiled widely and nodded vigorously. “Now France and the Czech Republic will enter a new era of diplomatic prosperity!”

Jan shrugged, clearly confused at Evan’s overbroad view of the situation. “Yeah.”

“Well, I have to go now. I hope we can chill out sometime and further strengthen our home nations’ partnership going forward,” Evan said, turning to leave. “See you at practice!”

As Jan closed the door and withdrew back into his home, Evan could barely suppress his laughter. Getting into his car, and taking care to not arouse too much suspicion, he got out his phone and dialed the number of French president François Hollande.

“Sir, this is unit #211-BX. The bomb has been planted. I repeat: the bomb has been planted. Awaiting further orders.” Hanging up the phone, he rubbed his hands together, and, confident that he would not be heard, laughed loud and long.
