Kent Bazemore is the luckiest guy on Earth. Well, maybe not the luckiest. I’m using an advanced literary device called “hyperbole”. Obviously there are lots of people who are luckier. Like lottery winners and people with big muscles.
Anyway, Kent Bazemore is one fortuitous dude. He was getting almost no time with the Warriors, and when he did he couldn’t exactly shoot to his heart’s content. But then he got traded to the talent-bereft Lakers, who really needed someone to just chuck relentlessly. It’s a match made in heaven.
So Bazemore has seized opportunity by the cojones and squeezed hard. He’s set a career high in points in all three games with his new team, as he gets more and more comfortable taking tons of shots. Watching the Lakers, it’s like he and Marshon Brooks are having their own little contest to see who can launch the most stuff at the rim.
I think Bazemore is winning. Which is good for him, since the Lakers certainly aren’t.
