I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: I thought, going into the season, that we’d be seeing a never-ending stream of Reggie Jackson to Andre Drummond lobs. Just a constant barrage of whamjams performed by Andre after the sweet dish by Reggie.
Now the regular season is coming to a close, and while we have seen many alley-oops between the two, it is nowhere close to the amount that was expected. Is this due to a lack of veteran leadership? The Pistons have vets, but they don’t have Will Bynum anymore, who, if you remember, was the undisputed king of setting up Andre for power pumps. Is it too late to extract him from China and sign him for the playoffs? I don’t think it is. Get him on the next plane departing Dongguan and get him to Detroit. Then we could really see the beast unleashed.
Lobs aren’t the point of this particular video, though. The point of this video is BUCKETS, and Reggie delivered. HARD. He knew that the Pistons could clinch the playoffs, and he frickin’ delivered the frickin’ buckets. Frick.
