The Pacers are playoffs-bound. Somehow. Is Paul George really so good that he can carry this underwhelming-on-paper roster to a playoff spot? The team’s second best player is probably Ian Mahinmi. A team with him as the second best player would normally be a team in the deepest throes of tanking. I feel uneasy giving all the credit to George. There must be other factors at play. Maybe… Myles Turner had something to do with this?
We could shower a lot of praise on Turner for contributing to a playoff team in his rookie year. That is something we could do. Hell, let’s do it. Good job Myles for coming into the league ready to contribute from day one (or day 90-ish, it took him a while to get going)! I don’t know exactly what I expected, but it didn’t involve a 30-point game, that’s for sure!
His lesson plan for next year: consistency. He’s had some great games, but a whole lot of duds. Less duds, more spuds, that’s the plan. It’s like a mantra. Less duds. More spuds. More spuds. Less duds.
