Ha! DownToBuck is vindicated! Norman Powell set a then-career-high total with 27 points just five days ago. Guess who didn’t do highlights?
That’s right: DawkIns, and GD, and (most notably) DownToBuck. I can’t speak for those other two channels, but I figured that 14 free throws to go with only 5 made buckets would make for substandard viewing. Powell is capable of much more exciting performances even if the point totals are a little lower.
As I said, vindication is mine: it turns out that the Raptors are not immune from “last day of the season statline craziness”, as Normal Powenn set a new career high in a much more impressive fashion than last time, scoring 30 while hitting a bunch of threes and only making a single free throw. I don’t want to say that I knew this was going to happen, but yeah, I knew this was going to happen. It’s the last night of the regular season, for god’s sake.
